Antonia Sautter

Considered one of the most sought-after boutiques for tailor-made clothing and accessories, Antonia Sautter’s atelier is famous for being one of the best places to rent magnificent costumes for Carnival balls (please remember that these costumes cannot be hired for parades in the streets). Crafted with fabrics and brocades designed, printed and made in Venice all costumes recall the traditional garments of times gone by. Accessories and jewels are also available. (See main picture)

Nicolao Atelier

Besides hosting a rich collection of costumes used in theatre shows, Nicolao Atelier is a well-known name for Carnival costumes, all made with the use of precious top-quality fabrics by expert craftsmen. Above all, Stefano Nicolao is famous for creating the costume destined to the Angel during the traditional event Flight of the Angel, greatly awaited by all Carnival fans. All costumes are here arranged according to different historical eras and can be paired with themed accessories. Colourful hand-made Venetian masks ar also also available and can be booked together with the costume or saperately.

Atelier Pietro Longhi

Set within a 19th-century villa, the laboratory by Pietro Longhi hosts an accurate selection of reproductions of historical costumes from the past centuries. Based on long studies on models and fabrics the featured creations are made with only the finest Rubelli fabrics and can be paired with jewels, shoes, hats and – of course – masks.

Atelier Tiepolo

Atelier Tiepolo boasts a vast array of historical top-quality costumes crafted in silk and brocade with hand-made decorations. The atelier also features masks, jewels, wigs, shoes, and capes. All costumes can be easily suited to each one’s body shape if needed. usually, during the Carnival period, the atelier displays its collections at some of Venice’s top hotels.

Atelier Flavia

A well-known spot to hire beautiful themed costumes, Atelier Flavia offers a selection of hand-sewn garments made with precious fabrics including pure silk. The atelier also features a selection of all types of accessories ranging from gloves to capes, from shoes to wigs, as well as jewels. Accessories are on sale only. The atelier also offers the chance of having a photo album shooted during the attended Carnival events.
