Punta Sabbionioffers an array of unique views...set against the stunning backdrop of the Serenissima.
Punta Sabbioni, on the West Coast of Cavallino-Treponti, is the getaway to Venice for those arriving from the East, and leads from the Coast to the border of Slovenia.
However, it’s not just a ‘convenient’ place to take a ‘vaporetto’ to the Lagoon, but a charming destination where visitors can spend a relaxing day surrounded by nature. The area offers beach lovers 15km of fine sandy beaches, from the lighthouse of Punta Sabbioni to the picturesque town of Cavallino, surrounded by crystal clear waters and lush pine forests.
Alternately, nature lovers can head to the nearby nature park of Cavallino Treponti, a mountain biker’s paradise whose trails skirt canals, sandy dunes and, further inland, an expanse of orchards and gardens, whose local produce can be purchased directly on-site.
It will take you approximately a 40-minute-journey by ferry.
Ferries depart daily to Punta Sabbioni DX or SX water stations from different docks in Venice. For info check the official website.
Tickets for the vaporetto or ferry can be found at any ACTV official seller.
