A perfect blend of wellness and art
Housed in a former 16th century convent, the exclusive, 5-star Palladio Hotel & Spa takes its name from Palladio, the great Renaissance architect from Padua who designed it and several other magnificent Venetian villas scattered throughout the region. However, Andrea Palladio’s signature is not the only asset of this hotel which is located in a unique position overlooking the Island of Giudecca, from where visitors can admire the sights of Venice “far removed from the madding crowd”. But that’s not all: the hotel is surrounded by four gardens, formerly a part of the ancient green oases that bordered the convent and its surrounding buildings. Each garden, cooly landscaped with mainly white-flowered varieties, is a lush haven where guests can indulge in a relaxing break, possibly prior to dining at the Palladio’s Ulivo restaurant. Overlooking an ancient, inner cloister-courtyard, inspired by Venetian tradition, the hotel prides itself on its fresh locally sourced fish and seasonal greens picked from its on-site vegetable garden. While staying at the hotel, an indulgent experience at its superb spa is an absolute ‘must’. The 450 square meter facility, one of the largest in Venice, features a king-sized Turkish Hammam and a sauna as well as a wide range of sophisticated, innovative treatments in romantic ambiences including the Me and You room, illuminated by the flickering light of a fireplace. With views either over the Lagoon or one of the hotel’s beautiful gardens planted with white hydrangeas, Its exclusive, spacious rooms and suites are tastefully decorated with mahogany furniture and Rubelli fabrics.
The hotel could possibly be closed from November to March. Please check the opening in your preferred dates on the official website
