A picture postcard getaway in the 'floating city'
Located in the heart of the old Palazzo Bacchini delle Palme, after a long renovation, Palazzo Venart, now a luxury hotel is back to its 15th-century splendour. Its intimate spaces are now home again to original paintings and frescoes from the 19th century. Murano glass and copper chandeliers, precious Venetian fabrics, velours, brocades, antiques and recently restored furniture have all been put in place with a painstaking attention to detail.
The LDC Group has done a tremendous restoration job in this building, and it has been a real joy to watch all the pieces come together last year. It is a true “Palazzo” that has come alive again, and my biggest dream is that every guest considers our hotel a “home away from home”, and leaves with a genuine desire to come back. Like a perfect host and friend, I will always be at our guests’ complete disposal, doing my best to make their stay special, with a great passion. Our aim here is that guests should never ask, because we anticipate all their needs.
Angelo Rizzi, General Manager of Palazzo Venart
Charme pieces such as the Christie’s piano, on the upper Piano Nobile, embellish the palazzo and testify its historical content which celebrates the arts in this hotel venture, conjuring up past and present to perfection. Its 18 rooms and suites, all furnished in different styles, recall the golden times of the Serenissima and pay tribute to different eminent personalities that have contributed to creating Venice‘s prestige such as Titian, Casanova, Dandolo, Marco Polo and Lord Byron, to name but a few. Hotel guests and savvy connoisseurs alike, who wish to enjoy high-end cuisine in the beating heart of the city can’t miss the exceptional gourmet experience at GLAM restaurant. It is a true jewel in the crown of the hotel, for guests and visitors alike, under the direction of two Michelin-stars Chef Enrico Bartolini. Featuring contemporary Italian cuisine based on seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, the menu is paired with precious wines to match the courses as required. The experience is naturally accompanied by impeccable service of a 5 star hotel and restaurant. In the warmer seasons, a romantic candlelit dinner can be enjoyed in the beautiful private garden overlooking the Grand Canal – one of the few water-side dining spots in Venice –, and of course it is also a rather nice option to savour Enrico’s delicacies in the intimate, shady and welcoming courtyard of the palazzo.
