The Michelin starred Oro restaurant surprises diners with sophisticated dishes inspired by Venetian tradition.
A feast for the eyes and palate
Boasting a panoramic view over the lagoon, the Belmond Hotel Cipriani, is an oasis of tranquility since 1958. In addition to its prime position, the hotel caters to the palates of discerning diners with a gourmet menu that can be sampled at the Oro restaurant from March to November. Designed by architect Adam D. Tihani, the Oro’s decor celebrates Venetian stylistic tradition with Murano glass chandeliers and candelabras.
Other highlights include a frescoed gold ceiling, which inspired the name of the restaurant, and a panoramic terrace, where customers can taste the best of Italian cuisine ‘al fresco’. Oro opened in 2014 and earned a Michelin star in 2015 under the directorship of Executive Chef Davide Bisetto, who tantalizes his guests’ palates with creations inspired by typical Venetian cuisine, reinterpreted with a contemporary twist.

The menu is based on a selection of fresh, high-quality ingredients and the use of vegetables and legumes sourced daily from the hotel’s vegetable garden. Aptly named the ‘Garden of Eden’, its offerings are used to infuse the chef’s dishes with colour and character.
