A meld of religion and traditional entertainment

Today Venice serves as a backdrop to the celebrations to commemorate the city’s deliverance from the plague in the 16th century with a celebration known as the ‘Festa del Redentore’ or ‘Feast of the Redeemer’. This religious holiday and spectacular event is much loved by the people of Venice.

13 July 2018

At 8:30pm, you can assist to the free concert happening at the Chiesa del Redentore (Giudecca island) sacred music by Ensemble Musica Venezia, playing G.F. Händel, A. Vivaldi, DA. Stradella, and D. Gallo.
