Until 13 January
Ca’ Pesaro hosts a grand exhibition focused on legendary Italian fashion designer and artist Elio Fiorucci: a charming dialogue between fashion and culture in the heart of sestiere Santa Croce. A unique personality in his field, Fiorucci brought democracy into fashion, bringing his creations to young generations and blending them with innovative ideas influenced by art, design, and architecture.
Ca’ Pesaro, a magnificent palace facing the Grand Canal and dedicated to contemporary art, celebrates his works through an exhibition organised as a great market. A collection of clothes, products, objects, posters, and documents show the parabola of a man who studied his creations together with artists such as Sottsass, Mendini, Brand, Keith Haring, Jean Michel Basquiat, and Andy Warhol. The Fiorucci philosophy generated from the transgressive Swinging London culture of the end of the 1960s and then spread across the world through his legendary stores in Milan, New York, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Rio de Janeiro, and Hong Kong.
