On the island of the Venetian archipelago, renowned throughout the world for its film festival, there’s a new location offering day-long dining, from breakfast to aperitivo time.
Following its opening on 20 July, it has become one of the most sought-after addresses for those spending a day on the Lido, a great place for beaching or VIP watching. Elimar is the new restaurant and Beach Bar at the Hotel Excelsior Venice Lido Resort. Its ambience is simply legendary.
The new place-to-be at the Lido
The Excelsior is a masterpiece of early 20th-century architecture that, during its hundred-year existence, has been patronized by an incalculable number of celebrities from the worlds of politics, culture and showbiz – due also to its proximity to the Film Festival. Its offerings have now been further enhanced by Elimar, whose versatile Beach Bar and Restaurant combo offers a unique experience and fabulous food throughout the day, from breakfast to aperitivo time. Boasting a relaxed yet elegant ambience, characterized by trendy décor accented with a touch of the exotic, Elimar is the ideal spot to enjoy a delicious breakfast, a Mediterranean buffet or à la carte lunch or a cool sundowner with a seafront view. As evening falls, guests can enjoy the sunset with Australian DJ Vicky Vanna, one of the guest stars featured on the locale’s action-packed program. The Beach Bar is open from 9am to 8pm, and the restaurant from 12-noon to 6pm. Embodying all the bygone charm and glamour of the Lido, the Excelsior also caters to the whims of those looking for a more formal dining option. In this case, the hotel’s Tropicana Terrace is one of Venice’s most iconic ‘al fresco’ dining spots.
